Apple Releases iOS 4.3.5 & iOS 4.2.10 Fixes Security Vulnerabilities

Well, that was quick. Just a little over a week after Apple released iOS 4.3.4, plugging up the JailbreakMe v3 hole, Apple has already released iOS 4.3.5. But what’s the update for?

According to the update itself, iOS 4.3.5 “fixes a security vulnerability with certificate validation.”

All Apple hardware that can run iOS 4 is supported, except for the Verizon iPhone. That handset has a similar fix available, labeled iOS 4.2.10.

You can grab the update by plugging your iOS device into iTunes and hitting the “Check for Update” button.

We’re not actually familiar with the security vulnerabilities being addressed here. Anyone have any idea? Let us know in the comments. We’ll update the post if we get a good answer.
