A new episodic update to movie tie-in Angry Birds Rio has just went live, bringing more marmoset mauling action happening on the Copacabana beach, new secrets and more juicy Golden Fruit. The iOS update is available from the App Store while Android fans can get it from Amazon Appstore for Android and a bit later via Android Market and GetJar. Rovio is promising more free of charge episodic updates throughout the year. Angry Birds Rio for iPhone and iPod touch costs 99 cents a pop (three bucks for an iPad version). A try-before-you-buy version is also available (lite HD version for iPad here).
They’ve also launched a new pre-order web shop for upcoming Angry Birds merchandise at comingsoon.angrybirds.com and released Angry Birds Rio Samba, a 99-cent single based on the game’s music theme. The team says more Angry Birds audio goodies and rare items from their soundtrack archives are coming in due time. Finally, earlier this week Rovio also treated us to a web-based version of Angry Birds which can be downloaded free from Chrome Web Store. Life is no doubt good in the land of Angry Birds!
