QuickTime new Icon and Player

I really don’t know about you, but I’m having a hard time looking at the new designed Icon for the QuickTime player.

I guess it seems too advanced…

Like one of those icons we get to replace the original ones.

Now the new player is very subtle, very simple, very…advanced…

But what happened to the preferences on QuickTime player?  The icon was removed from the System Preferences. And one thing that really bothers me is the fact that we can’t choose anymore the feature that enable the videos or audio to be played once the files were opened.

You have to press the space bar, or the button on the player in order to do so.

Now did Apple forgot something? Or am I missing something?

What do you think?

  1. I don’t like the new icon too…But more annoying is the fact that the video only starts if you hit the space bar…No option for auto play…

    Let’s wait for an update…

  2. Many thanks for the info about QuickTime. It seems we have to wait… The article you provided was very useful.
    Best Regards
